Advanced Adventurer
The Advanced Adventurer program is another option for expanding and experiencing specialty diving.
Course Notes
Want to go deeper and stay longer? Become an Advanced Adventurer and upgrade with SSI. Learn to dive to a depth of 30 meters and navigate underwater using natural references and a compass. Increase your air consumption and take your skills to a whole new level!

- Once you have accumulated your diving experience to the Advanced Diver level or above, you will be able to enjoy diving freely and fully when traveling abroad.
- Participants need to have Open Water Diver qualification (OWD or other diving system OPEN WATER DIVER). If you are a foreigner, please inform us in advance so as not to jeopardize your right to take the course. If you are over 10 years old and in good health, please refer to SSI's Health Declaration and Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk, if you have any health condition, please obtain a certificate from your doctor before taking the diving course.
- If there is a deep diving course, the minimum age must be 12 years old or above to participate.
- Students younger than 15 years of age will be certified as Junior Advanced Adventure Divers and will be able to dive under the direct supervision of a dive professional, or a certified adult, in an environment equal to their training and recommended depth limits.
- Before the official course, you can complete the home study through the SSI e-learning digital materials, diving course must bring their own swim trunks or swimsuit, prepare personal digital photo (life photos can also be frontal photo, to provide the upload).
Course Description
- Suggested duration of the course: 6 - 10 hours
- Upon completion of all disciplines and performance of water skills (including water evaluation and final test), the Open Water Diving Instructor or higher level may issue an Advanced Adventure Diver Digital Certification Card.
- A certified Advanced Adventure Diver can dive in an environment equivalent to their training and recommended depth limits, accompanied by a dive buddy of the same or higher level.
- Students younger than 15 years of age will be certified as Junior Advanced Adventure Divers and may dive in an environment equivalent to their training and recommended depth limits under the direct supervision of a dive professional, or a certified adult.
- Students may apply the dives they complete in the Advanced Adventure Diver program to individual specialty courses, provided the instructor and student sign a record of each dive.
- Complete all knowledge units and assessments outlined in the Advanced Adventure Diver Instructor Manual for their applicable course.
- Complete a minimum of five (5) different SSI specialty dives.
Classes
- Small class size (more than 2 students)
- Small class size, no more than 4 persons per class.
- It is recommended to arrive at the diving center before 0900 in the morning.
- 2 Days 1 Night Class - Special price NT$13,000. (Non-individual class)
- 3 Days 2 Nights - Special price NT$14,000 (Individual class, 5~8 cylinders).
- The course fee includes boat dives and deep dives (2 boat dives).
- You can also choose the accommodation plan to stay in a standard double bed at a special price of only NT$800 (standard double bed).
- This course does not include all necessary diving equipment, if you bring your own equipment, no refund for the difference in price.
Specialized Coach 1vs1 (2day or 3day)
The following specialty courses can be used as open water training dives for the Advanced Adventure Diver course:
Day 1
09:00 Introduction to the course and quilt distribution and assembly
10:30 Perfect Buoyancy Practice
12:00 Lunch at the Dive Center
13:30 Underwater Navigation Practice
15:00 Night dive (dusk)
17:30 Write Dive Log(Digital Dive Log),Dinner at Hengchun Old Town
Day 2
08:30 Marine Practicum (Please arrive at the Dive Center at 8:00am)
10:30 Deep Diving Practice
12:00 Lunch
13:30 Write Dive Logbook (Digital Dive Logbook)
15:00 End of course, award certificate.
15:30 Pack up your bags and say goodbye to each other
After registration, please prepare a digital photo (you can use a photo of your life, but it must have a front view) and pay the online registration fee of NT$5,000. We will register you online immediately, so that you can study at home before attending the class, and increase the efficiency of your learning through your cell phone, tablet APP, or PC.

Note
- According to the latest regulations on recreational activities in the water, participants are required to take out a comprehensive insurance policy for marine activities (at their own expense, singles can take out an online insurance policy, but more than 2 people must register and take out an insurance policy 5 days in advance).
- The fee does not include food, lodging and transportation to the center during the training period.Enroll in the Advanced Diver Course now, and enjoy the Diver Discount by staying at the Atoll Dive B & B (single person can be arranged to share a standard double bed). Only NT$800 per person per night (original price NT$1000).
- The dive center is located in Hengchun Old Town, where you can enjoy Hengchun local food.
- Please pay the balance of the course fee at the time of your registration, and inform the atoll in advance if you have any special needs. Small group teaching, high efficiency, except for special needs or weather and sea conditions, calm water courses and marine internships are implemented in the sea area of Houbi Lake in Kenting (technical examination).
