卡揚東瑟仁波切(次仁托奇古隆)出生於尼泊爾西北部喜馬拉雅山區薩當地區，父親乃該地赫赫有名之藏醫卡揚仁波切(噶瑪托斯古隆) ，家族世代為醫，東瑟仁波切本身除了是一名藏醫外，亦是一位頌缽治療師。

 東瑟仁波切自五歲時起隨卡揚仁波切修學佛法，仁波切給予他蓮師法、施身法等基礎修法的口傳灌頂及教授。年屆十三，東瑟仁波切進入尼泊爾南無秋林寺進一步學習。於此十年間，他分別從莫薩仁波切、白瑪諾布仁波切、查塔桑耶多傑仁波切弟子天津卻科仁波切、揚唐仁波切及敦珠法王等眾多尊貴上師處得受了各項珍貴的灌頂和口傳(包括熱那林巴口訣藏、桑帕護、東度林巴、洛桑寧波、尼瑪卡瑪灌頂及口傳等) 。及至二十三歲，仁波車遵照尊貴的敦珠法王和卡揚仁波切的囑託，於尼泊爾帕坪寺院完滿了傳統的三年三個月閉關。隨後，他返回尼泊爾貢瑟杜千秋林寺嚴持戒律並為寺院服務。

卡揚東瑟仁波切

 Kha-nyam Dungse Rinpoche, Chhring Torche Gurung, was born at Saldang , Himalaya, Northwesten Nepal, on April 23nd, 1991. His Father is Dr. Kha-Nyam Rinpoche (Karma Tosi Gurung), and his family name is Kothog Kagtsa.

 

When Dungse rinpoche was five years old, he started to study from Kha-Nyam Rinpoche. Who gave him many transmissions, empowerment and instructions on the preliminary practices like “Konchok Chidu” and “Chod”. And then, at the age of thirteen, Dungse rinpoche began to join Nepal Namdroling Monastery for further study. Then he received Dhondul lingpa, Lonsta Ningpo and Nyime Kama empowerment by Moh-Tsa Rinpoche, received Treasures of Rinna Lingba empowerment and transmission by His Holiness Peama Nurbu Rinpoche at Nepal Kathmandu, received Jatsan Pudhuk empowerment and transmission by Lama Tenzin Chokal Rinpoche who is the student of His Holiness Chhatal Sangye Dorje Rinpoche. And he also received Nyemi Kama oral transmission and empowerment by Yang-Tang Rinpoche in Bhodi Gaya, India. He received Both Dudjom Sung bum empowerment and transmissions by His Holiness Yangsi Dudjom Rinpoche. 

At the age of 23, Dungse rinpoche completed the traditional three-year, three-month retreat at Pharping monastery ordered by His Holiness Yangsi Dudjom Rinpoche and Kha-Nyam Rinpoche. Then he went back to Pal Gontser Dechen Chokhorling Monestery and possesses a good monastic discipline and working.
